Senators back Robredo’s plan to seek other countries’ help in PH’s war on drugs

Senators on Friday welcomed Vice President Leni Robredo’s initiative to meet with other countries, including China, to gather information and find ways to address the illegal drugs problem.

“That is the right attitude in intelligence gathering – get as many related information from all available sources, domestic and foreign, human and technical, then process and analyze for dissemination and use by our anti-drug operatives,” Sen. Panfilo Lacson said in his Twitter post.

Robredo had earlier expressed willingness to talk with Chinese officials regarding the issue, taking note that the government has, in the past, shared information with China regarding illegal drug shipments and other drug-related concerns.
