The Department of Tourism (DOT) is boosting its efforts to promote the different unique cuisines in the country in a bid to strengthen the food tourism in the Philippines.
Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said that there are some Filipino-American chefs that have “made their mark by serving Filipino dishes in their restaurants and reaping awards and accolades.”
“Everybody keeps saying that Filipino food is the next big thing, but I think it is now ‘the thing,’ with Filipino descent culinary geniuses making their names of their own abroad,” said Puyat in a statement.
