4.3 – magnitude quake jolts Occidental Mindoro

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.


The earthquake, which occurred at 9:57a.m., was tectonic in origin and its epicenter traced 82 kilometers (km) southwest of Looc Occidental Mindoro with  a depth of 29 kilometers.

Phivolcs said no aftershocks and damages are expected from the tremor.
