MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DOJ) will seek a “precautionary” hold departure order (HDO) against two suspects in the killing of Dumaguete-based radio broadcaster Dindo Generoso on Nov. 7.
The court may issue an HDO to prevent an accused in a criminal case from leaving the country.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said he had ordered the Office of the City Prosecutor in Dumaguete to ask the court for a precautionary HDO against suspects Tomasino Aledro and Cpl. Roger Rubio since murder charges have not yet been filed.
